Let’s cover some of the most common furnace repairs you might require our assistance with:
If the gas valve is open, the flame sensor lets the furnace system know there’s a flame. Over time this sensor can accrue carbon build-up which could
eventually hamper your furnace’s performance or cause it to shut off entirely. The same could happen if the flame sensor is faulty. Our technicians
will clean the sensor and see if that does the trick. If not, we’ll replace your old flame sensor with a new one.
Sometimes the fault for an over-performing or under-performing furnace lies not with the furnace but with the thermostat. This is something we’ll diagnose
by inspecting the thermostat and the wiring running in and out of it, confirming that all components are clean and connected correctly. In the
case of faulty or poorly-connected wiring, we’ll take appropriate measures. Of course, the fix might be something as simple as a new battery (if
your thermostat is digital).
If your furnace isn’t turning on, or it turns on but produces zero heat, there could be a problem with the furnace igniter. Every gas furnace has an
igniter that automatically lights the main burners or the pilot assembly, depending on the kind of furnace you have. And if your furnace has a
hot-surface ignition, it too uses an igniter. The most likely problem is that the igniter is cracked or broken, which we can easily replace.
If your furnace begins emitting strange noises – clanks, thumps, squeaks, rattles and the like, there could be one or more explanations. Some of the
most common are a broken blower wheel, a faulty/failed motor, and excess dirt build-up. The best solution is for one of our techs to get inside
the furnace to ascertain the problem. Once we’ve pinpointed it we’ll take the appropriate cleaning and replacement steps.
Along with thermostat issues, clogged vents are another problem that isn’t directly related to the furnace itself. If it’s been awhile since you had
your vents cleaned, chances are your home isn’t receiving the heat it needs, which translates into inefficiency and wasted money. Equally important
are your home’s outdoor vents, which can also become obstructed – especially during winter when snow and ice accumulate.

repair and duct issues, along with anything else your home’s HVAC system might experience.
